I would like to thank Professor Andrzej Targowski and Doctor Irmina Targowski for the fantastic reception they gave me in Saugatuck. It was that holiday in the United States which in fact proved to be a turning point in my efforts to see my own wishes through to fruition and crystallise my aims in life.

The conversations we shared about ambitions, learning and moral attitudes were such a motivating force that my idea for a book, which had germinated some time earlier, suddenly turned out to be something wholly feasible.

My gratitude is also owed to my friends Agnieszka Couderq and Waldemar ‘Major’ Fydrych for the extra consultations and their emotional support for this undertaking. I am happy to be surrounded by so many people who, beyond the obvious enjoyment of life’s pleasures, wish to leave a better world behind them. Would that I might succeed in drawing even a touch closer to that circle.

I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to the book’s reviewers whose authority supported this publication.

I would like to thank Joanna Bojańczyk and Michał Zaczyński, well-known Polish journalists reporting on fashion, as well as the actress Magdalena Różczki and the respected designer Mariusz Przybylski.

I am also extremely proud of the support given to this book by Professor Elaine Englehardt at Utah Valley University, one of the most well-known professors of ethics in the United States.

Many thanks once again to everyone mentioned above.

Additional thanks are due to the SOHO Factory for providing interiors for the photo session for this book.
